It is about 600 bath at low season and 850 bath at high season.

It just a few minutes walk to night plaza.It is a good and cheap hotel although it do not has much facility and a grand lobby.It also do not has a bathtub .

This is Tapae Palace hotel.It is at Thanon Tapae .It is about 650 bath at low season and 850 bath at high season .It provides friendly service .If I forget somethings I always get back at next trip .

It has about equal distance to China town {for local people they always call it as kart Luang ),night bazza and Patu tapae

New asia Hotel is at Thanon Rachawong .It is about Bath 500 for air-con room .
It has a restaurant with reasonable price and tasty food .I like the hot plate prawn and oyster with fried egg.

It also quite near the China town and Muang mai market
The waiters and waitresses has good service as well

This is a pond side restaurant.It has cheap local disk .
You have heared about drunkun prawn. But do you hear dancing prawn ? It is a dish with the small live prawns still jumping up and down in a container .You just mix it with some spices and eat it alive .

No worry about the cost because for a four persons meals should be costs about bath 500
The pond has many restaurants .It is about 4 km from chiangmai to Mae RIM direction

This is Maleena hotel.It is very near Talat Muang Mai .This is the whole sale centre for vegetable and fruit .

You can get various type and cheap vegetables ,fruits.

The drawback is very quiet at night .

You only pay around bath 430.At peak season if you can't find any room ,you may consider it.

It is convenient for food ,massage and KTV .It is about 15 minutes walk to night bazza

It is near the intersection of irrigation canal and huay Kaew road( after Chiangmai Hill hotel) You can go to Nimmanhaemin road for entertainment at night .It has no problem for the food as well

This is the condition of Sumit hotel .I only pay Bath 250 for the room

with fan only without hot water .I always take shower with cold water because I find it is good for my health .

It is a clean ,cheap convenient and friendly hotel

It also has air-con room for Bath 400 only

It just behind Sompet market inside the old city .

You can walk to Kad suan kaew shopping center,night plaza and China town about 20 minute .Those temples within the old city are within walking distance as well .

This is one of the luxury hotel (Chiangmai -Amora Rydges hotel)but very near Patu Thapae .

Behind the soi ,it still have Pagoda inn ,Chiangmai Inn ,Eagle guest house .Most of them are fromBath 500(with air) to 250(no air)

Another one at the main road is the famous Miami Hotel .

It was quite near to china town , Sompet market,one agogo and one local beer bar

There are many hotels or guest houe around this areas .It start from Montri hotel ,surround by the Rachadamnoen road ,Rachapakinai,Sripoom and Moonmuang road .It's price from Bath 600 to 250

It includes Nice, MD , Sumit ,Eagle and many other guest house .

I prefers to stay at Sumit at bath 250(fan only Air-400) .It is a clean and friendly hotel .It just situated behind Sompet Market .On the top -right is the lobby of the hotel.

This area is near the market,walking street and Wat Chiangman .As for the food ,there are many small reataurant along Rachadamnoen road .

This area has a lot of beer bar so is one of the best choice for those people like to go this places .The beer bars are along Kotchasarn road and Moonmuang road .
At the Moonmuang road ,the few more prominient are Top north Hotel(Bath 500 to 800) and Top north guest house at further away from Patu Thapae(Bath 250 to 500 )There are many small guest houses at the Soi .The rule is that the price is higher as the guest house or hotel is more closer to Patu Thapae

At Kotchasan road ,most of the hotel are at the Soi.They are more expensive than those at Moonmuang Road .
Behind DK bookshopis my favourite Royal guest house .It costs from Bath 150 to 600 The higher the floor the cheaper is the room(fan only)
Near the exit of Thanon Loikro to KoChasan road ,it has a quite new hotel -Raming Lodge.It should be above Bath 1500

Stay at this area is easy to go beer bar ,agogo,disco at Mandalay.It also can get some local food easily .If you are stay there at the weekend ,the area starts from Patu Thapae to Thanon Rachadamnoen road is the Walking street market .It sells a lot sourvinior ,clothing ,food and etc...at local price .

At a price of about 1000 Bath with breadfast and connected directly to the biggest shopping centre at chiangmai.
It may be better than those hotels located in the heart of the city near the famous Chiang Mai Night Bazaar which are from 1500Bath to 2000Bath.
